4-H Awards Banquet

Bring your Ipods and MP3 Players...(age appropriate music & lyrics only)

Who is invited: properly enrolled 4-H members & parents only!!!

When: November 5^th (6 -11 PM)

Where: Jacksonville Show Barn

Why: For the fun of it!!!

How: with the help of volunteers*

* Each Club must have at least one parent/adult leader present at the barn during the entire program, if that club will have children attending.

Archery Meeting Date Changes

Please make note that the date for the Archery Workshop has changed to October 24 from 6pm to 8pm. There was a conflict with the Oct. 18th date and the Hay Judging Awards Banquet. Anyone planning to participate in the archery program or that has previously participated in the past must attend this workshop in order to participate with us this year. So mark your calendars, save it to your phone, or put a note on your fridge...just don't miss this meeting!!!

East Texas Show Star Series

The 3rd Annual East Texas Show Star Series will be held on October 23rd & 24th at the Nacogdoches Show Barn. This is a great opportunity for 4-H families that are new to showing livestock, as well as those who are seasoned veterans of the show ring. Friday, October 7, 2011 is the "EARLY" deadline toregister for the above mentioned event. After October 7th, a $10 increase will be asssed for those registrations received after that date. The link to register is https://agriliferegister.tamu.edu/events/details.cfm?id=851 This is an exceptional educational program for those new 4-Hfamilies or even some that may need a refresher course in livestock management.

Well the 2011 Cherokee County Livestock Show was a GREAT success!!!!

Thank you to all of you for helping in the concession stand! You guys were awesome!! Our kiddos did a great job too! I know that next year is going to be just as wonderful!

Everyone needs to make sure that they have enrolled in 4H this year correctly. If you have not received a confirmation email of your enrollment, then you or your child is not enrolled in 4H. We need to make sure to take care of this ASAP. Let me know if you need any help!

If you do not have access to the internet, please give me your information and I will take care of the online enrollment for you. This is very important for us ALL to take care of ASAP!
